Website for Chorley Bowmen Archery Club

Chorley Bowmen is an Archery GB affiliated club based in Chorley, Lancashire. It is also a member of Lancashire Archery Association and works to promote both the traditional and modern styles of shooting.

Founded in 1980 we are known as a friendly and welcoming club. Both able bodied and those with disabilities are welcome at Chorley Bowmen and help is always on hand from our qualified coaches. Our members are of all ages and abilities, so you will not feel left out.

Shooting

During the indoor and outdoor seasons we hold regular club competitions based on members handicap scores – so everyone has the chance to win!

Summer Months

From April up to the end of September, we shoot at Wigan Lane Sports and Community Hub, situated adjacent to Duxbury Golf Course. Club nights are Tuesday and Thursday but we do occasionally shoot at weekends and members also shoot at different times provided that the field is available and at least two people are present at all times, one of whom must be an adult.

Winter Months

During the winter (1st October to 31st March), we shoot Indoors at the Saxon Pavilion at Wigan Lane Sports and Community Hub. On Friday we have a club night at South Ribble Tennis and Fitness Centre in Bamber Bridge (behind Sainsbury’s supermarket), commencing at 7pm to approximately 9pm.
