About Us Chorley Bowmen is an archery club based in Chorley, Lancashire. It is a member of Lancashire Archery Association and works to promote both the traditional and modern Olympic side of the sport. We are a relatively new club, founded in 1980 but have quickly become known as a friendly and welcoming club. Both able bodied and those with disabilities are welcome at Chorley Bowmen and help is always on hand from our qualified coaches.Our members are of all ages and abilities, so you will not feel left out. Shooting During the indoor and outdoor seasons we hold regular club competitions based on member’s handicap scores -
Summer Months From April up to the end of September, we shoot at Wigan Lane Playing Fields, situated adjacent to Duxbury Golf Course. Club night is Thursday night but we do occasionally shoot at weekends and members also shoot at different times provided that the field is available and at least two full members are present at all times. Winter Months During the winter, we shoot at South Ribble Tennis and Fitness Centre in Bamber Bridge (behind Sainsburys supermarket). Club night is Friday, commencing at 7pm to approximately 10pm. Membership Membership is available for both full and half years and both include fees for G.N.A.S., N.C.A.S. and L.A.A.
Please note that a parent or guardian of a junior member is also required to attend the club whenever the junior is there. All applications will be placed before the next committee meeting for approval. |
